AFC Beverly now offers on-site Rapid PCR Testing (results within an hour), anti-body testing, rapid antigen testing and general PCR/swab tests for COVID-19. We highly advise that you consult with our staff to determine the most appropriate test for your symptoms and situation.  Our facility is located at 50 Dodge St in Beverly MA and you can get tested for COVID and have results the same day. Online booking is strongly encouraged to save time filling paperwork when you arrive at the clinic.

Does my insurance cover testing?

COVID-19 testing is fully covered, with $0 cost to you, by all insurance plans in Massachusetts including Medicare and Medicaid but only if it is deemed medically necessary

If you believe that you were exposed to COVID-19, came into close contact with a COVID-19 patient, or are exhibiting any one the following symptoms then testing in these situations will very likely be covered: sore throat, difficulty swallowing, new olfactory or taste disorder(s), nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, pneumonia, runny nose, nasal congestion, unexplained fatigue/malaise, delirium (acutely altered mental status and inattention), unexplained or increased number of falls, acute functional decline, exacerbation of chronic conditions, chills, headaches, conjunctivitis, croup, or multisystem inflammatory vasculitis in children (some of the symptoms associated with multisystem inflammatory vasculitis in children include persistent fever and a variety of symptoms that may include abdominal pain, gastrointestinal symptoms, including nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, as well as rash)

What if I want to get tested anyway for peace of mind, convenience or for a COVID-19 related travel restriction?

If you don’t fit the medically necessary testing criteria (see above) or do not have insurance we offer very affordable rates for testing. The current pricing for testing is provided below. We strongly encourage you to discuss your condition, symptoms and reasoning for asking for testing with our staff to determine which test is most appropriate for your situation.

  • Cephid Rapid RT-PCR (45 minutes, ideal for last minute travelers or those who need immediate results) – $175
  • Broad PCR Test (24 hours) – $99
  • Rapid Antigen Testing (10 minutes) – $59
  • Antibody Testing (turn around time varies) – $110

If you need COVID-19 test results for travel out of country (or to certain other states with coronavirus related travel restrictions), we can also provide them to you. Please ensure to inquire about results and turn around times before finalizing your travel plans. It is your responsibility to check your destination’s requirements before you get tested. Many destinations, for example, will only accept a PCR test within 72 hours of travel. Some will accept it within 10 days of travel. Others will accept a rapid antigen test. We are unable to offer refunds if you order the test too soon, or order the wrong test. Our staff are unable to offer clear guidance on this as there are dozens of destinations, each of which have different and continuously changing requirements.

How to Book a COVID-19 Test

If you would like to book your test ahead of time on a particular time-slot of your choosing, you can book a testing appointment online. That way you spend less time filling out paperwork when you get to the clinic for your booked time. Depending on the test recommended for you, the results should be available within the hour (for rapid testing) or next days for antibody and PCR testing (depending on the lab). Please inquire about the current turn-around times and rest assured that we will call you as soon as your results are available. Please maintain self-isolation at home till you have received the results.
